Our client a large public sector organisation requires a Marketing Co-Ordinator to join their team in Ballymena.

Role: Marketing Co-Ordinator

Rate of Pay: £16.82

Location: Ballymena

Hours: 28 hours per week

Duration: Until March 2026

Main duties/Responsibilities:

To collaborate and co-ordinate with managers and staff across the College in relation to Marketing and assist the Marketing & Communications Manager in the promotion and achievement of high quality marketing provision.

Strategic

  • To contribute to a systematic process of review, evaluation and planning of the Marketing provision.
  • To ensure that the service is effective and efficient and is consistent across the
  • To work closely with Corporate Challenge to ensure that the Marketing provision is targeted and assessed.
  • To contribute to the Marketing Plan and the College Development

Operational

  • To act as a member of the Marketing and Communications
  • To assist the Marketing & Communications Manager in the development of marketing procedures and activities relating to public
  • To assist in developing strong relations with PR Agencies and different Media e. local, regional, national press, radio stations, broadcasters, trade journals etc.
  • To assist the Marketing & Communications Manager in the implementation of an annual programme of events.
  • To assist with both College based and external events from the planning stage to effective conclusion and evaluation.
  • To provide support to staff across the College in best practice in event
  • To implement systems to ensure relevant staff are kept informed about appropriate events in a regular and timely manner.
  • To attend events as required ensuring their effectiveness and smooth
  • To assist the Marketing & Communications Manager in the development of marketing procedures and activities relating to publications and advertising which will assist Curriculum Area Managers in achieving their recruitment targets.
  • To assist the Marketing & Communications Manager in the co- ordination and production of all printed, audio visual and electronic publicity material including materials to promote business engagement services and activities.
  • To assist the Marketing & Communications Manager in the production of high quality, accurate and timely prospectuses to successfully promote the College's services.
  • To investigate and make recommendations for new, innovative publications and upon agreement, develop them.
  • To work with design staff to ensure that all publications are fully branded in line with corporate guidelines.
  • To work with other departments to develop systems and procedures which ensure that publications are developed in an effective and professional manner.
  • To assist the Head of Department, Communications and Marketing in the co- ordination and placing of all advertising media.
  • To develop good relations with design companies, print houses and advertising media agencies.
  • To assist the Marketing & Communications Manager in drawing up print and design tenders and ensuring that value for money is achieved.
  • To ensure the effective management of all related duties and areas of responsibility within agreed budget limits as agreed with the Marketing & Communications Manager.
  • To assist the Marketing & Communications Manager in developing the Corporate Identity and brand management strategies.
  • To work closely with Heads of Department and Curriculum Area Managers in collating marketing data as required.
  • To assist the Marketing & Communications Manager in developing e-databases for target marketing.
  • To ensure that all work and output is of the highest quality following all standards as agreed with Marketing & Communications Manager. This will include making recommendations for quality improvement and monitoring quality on an on-going basis.
  • To assist the Marketing & Communications Manager to develop effective internal marketing activities.
  • To contribute to the development and updating of the College
  • To ensure an appropriate level of service is available and accessible across all campuses and is maintained throughout the calendar year.
  • To deliver staff training in relation to marketing as required in agreement with the Marketing & Communications Manager.
  • To develop a system of liaison with Schools, adult and higher education markets for effective promotion of the College.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree or equivalent level qualification
  • At least 1 years' experience in a Marketing or Communications related role
  • Experience of creating and posting content on social media
  • Experience of creating online surveys and reporting on results
  • Experience of organising and delivering recruitment / marketing events
