Graphic Designer (12 Month Contract)

Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Graphic Designer on behalf of a leading packaging company. The Graphic Designer role is perfect for someone who thrives in a creative, team-oriented environment. You'll play an essential part in the team, collaborating closely with the Graphic Design Manager to deliver exceptional designs for leading premium brands.

Responsibilities:

• Develop practical creative packaging design options in consultation with customers, working closely with structural design, production, and/or sales teams as needed, all within the agreed timeline.
• Estimate the time required to complete a job and provide quotes for clients.
• Generate print-ready artwork, ensuring precision and adherence to guidelines from provided design concepts.
• Uphold brand consistency across various packaging designs and collateral, adhering to brand guidelines.
• Effectively manage and prioritise multiple projects, ensuring that all deadlines are met without compromising quality.
• Taking existing packaging creations and adapting and or changing to fit new briefs.
• Prepare decks for customer presentations.
• Organise and manage digital files.
• Conduct quality checks for print-ready artwork.
• Any other duties role may involve.

Person Specification:

• Third level qualification in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite. (Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Keen eye for detail, design, typography and creative ability.
• Methodical with a high attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in order to liaise, influence and build good customer relationships.

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience in similar role within the packaging industry.
• Familiarity with cutter guides and layout techniques.
• Photography experience.
• Ability to visualise new concepts.
• Strong presentation skills.

Hours

8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday

8.30am to 1.30pm Friday

The Rewards

The successful Graphic Designer will enjoy a competitive salary circa up to £35,000 depending on experience.

Location

The Graphic Designer role will be based in Belfast.
