Logistics Coordinator

LOGISTICS COORDINATOR | NORTH COUNTY DUBLIN | PERMANENT

I am working with a wonderful client based in North County Dublin who are searching for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

THE ROLE|

You will be assisting with the strategic support for the Transport Planner along with coordination of collections for the team of drivers. Previous experience in the coordination of road freight with direct customers is required, as well as having good geographical knowledge of Ireland.

Please note that this role is fully office based with parking on site as well as being accessible to limited public transport. Hours are work are Monday to Friday 10am to 8pm with a weekend roster pattern of working one weekend in three with time off in lieu.

RESPONSIBILITIES|

• Point of contact for any collection updates, liaising with all operational areas and customers as required
• Assigning customer consignment collections and notifying customers of their updates
• Working in close partnership with the Transport Manager and relevant personnel including drivers effectively ensuring all requirements are met only a daily basis.
• General logistical administration duties as required.
• Distribution of all scheduling master sheets.

REQUIREMENTS |

• Previous experience working in an office-based coordination role in road freight
• Good geographical knowledge of Ireland
• Excellent customer service skills as well as strong technical and IT skill with a high level of proficiency with MS Office programs
• Previous experience working with CRM systems
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team environment self-manage and prioritise daily workload
• Ability to work in the office full time as well as committing to a weekend roster of one weekend in three with time off in lieu
