Junior Transport Planner

Are you a creative problem solver with an interest in haulage? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Our client is a leader in the transport industry and they are currently recruiting a Junior Transport Planner to join their team in Drogheda.

Depending on your experience, you will join either the day or night planning team who plan, communicate and co-ordinates routes across Ireland, UK and Europe.

Responsibilities Include:

• Planning of fleet for delivery nationwide the next day.
• Keeping a watchful eye on the schedule throughout your shift.
• Work as part of a team of planners ensuring all drivers routes are planned effectively and efficiently.
• Utilising internal systems to co-ordinate routes.
• Informing all drivers of their scheduled routes and start times for the following day.
• Providing clear communication and direction for routes and transport type.
• Adhoc responsibilities as assigned.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience of working within the transport industry or in a logistics admin role.
• Previous customer service experience essential, over the telephone and on email.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Working to deadlines.

Please note, we are currently recruiting for a Junior Transport Planner for a day shift and a night shift. Both shifts will require flexibility.
