HGV Mechanic

My Client, a Nationwide Distributor, seek to hire a HGV Mechanic

This role will suit someone with experience fault diagnosis, service maintenance and repairs of heavy goods vehicles

This is a Monday to Friday role, based out of Longford.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults: Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) and conduct necessary repairs.
• Routine maintenance: Perform regular servicing, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and inspections, to ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards.
• Carry out diagnostic fault finding along with mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Minor body repair works.
• Managing and updating vehicle maintenance schedules.
• Liaise with the Fleet Manager on vehicle progress and defects that require attention.
• Complete repairs to a high standard and efficiently within time lines in accordance with manufacture procedures.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workshop while adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience with HGV Vehicles.
• Fully qualified mechanic
