Transport Planner

TRANSPORT PLANNER | NORTH COUNTY DUBLIN | PERMANENT |

Located in North County Dublin, our client is a leader in the logistics industry. They are committed to growing their business and developing their people. The team is searching for planners to join on a permanent basis and progress their careers long term.

Please note that this role is fully office based with parking on site as well as being accessible to public transport. The permanent contract has the option of selecting and moving forward in one of the below working patterns:

Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 11am to 9pm | working 1 in 3 weekends a month with time off in lieu

Night Shift | 5pm - 5am working 4 days on and 4 days off

THE ROLE |

The new team member will be responsible for the successful execution of coordinating transport planning across Ireland. You will be knowledgeable and confident in communicating with all stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and have previous experience within an office-based logistics coordination role.

RESPONSIBILITIES |

• Develop and maintain strong working relationship with customers and suppliers alike and responsible for handling designated key accounts
• Planning transport routes for drivers
• Providing updates regarding plans of actions for the team
• Problem solving on all aspects of transport planning in Ireland
• Maintain accurate transport planning data to efficiently

REQUIREMENTS |

• At least 1 years' experience in a similar role ideally gained within transport/ operations
• Good geographical knowledge of Ireland
• Strong technical and IT skill with a high level of proficiency with MS Office programs,
• Previous experience working with consignment systems such as stratum
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team environment self-manage and prioritise daily workload
• CPC would be desirable
