Junior Transport Planner

We are recruiting a Junior Transport Planner for our client who is a leader in Irish, UK and EU haulage. This role is ideal for those who are looking to transition out of long days on the road and find a better work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and manage efficient transport routes for articulated vehicles, prioritising cost-effective and timely delivery.
• Oversee lorry fleet to maximise utilisation, monitoring performance to drive operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to streamline transportation operations, enhancing service quality.
• Serve as a key contact, communicating with drivers and external partners to confirm on-schedule deliveries and resolve any in-transit issues.
• Regularly analyse transport data to identify areas for improvement in route efficiency and cost management.
• A hands on approach to support with adhoc tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Two years experience in haulage
• Track record of meeting goals and deadlines
• Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment
• Computer literate
