Our client is seeking a proactive and credible HR Advisor to join their dedicated HR team. In this key role, you will support the HR Business Partner in delivering an efficient and effective generalist HR service that aligns with best practice, legal requirements, and our wider people and business strategy.
As HR Advisor, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day HR operations, contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, and providing expert guidance across all areas of the employee life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of the Group People Strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals
Provide advice and support on employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinaries, and grievances
Ensure policies and procedures are up to date, legally compliant, and consistently applied
Manage and maintain accurate employee data and records
Lead on absence management processes and reporting
Promote ethical practices and contribute to maintaining the Pillar Book
Coordinate with Occupational Health and support well being initiatives
Assist in the delivery of Learning and Development programmes
Assist with resource planning, recruitment, and on boarding
Foster effective communication and employee engagement across the site
Provide timely HR advice to support operational and strategic decision-making
Raise and manage HR tickets in line with agreed service levels
Participate in HR projects, conferences, and cross-site initiatives
Monitor and report on key HR metrics (absence, retention, turnover, agency usage)
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
Proven experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant, or in a generalist HR role
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Confident advising and influencing senior stakeholders
In-depth knowledge of employment legislation
Proficient in using HR systems
Personable and professional with excellent communication skills
Problem-solving mindset and practical approach
Flexible and adaptable team player
Desirable:
CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
Experience in manufacturing or food industry environments.
