HR Advisor | 3-6 Month Contract | Co. Wicklow
The Client: Our client is a leading manufacturer of global brands with well-established operations. They are currently seeking to recruit a HR Advisor, ideally with a background in manufacturing/production, on a temporary contract basis for 3-6 months.
The Role: As the HR Advisor, you will be required to support key functions within the HR department with an emphasis on Employee Relations. The successful candidate will report to the HR Manager and will act as first point of contact for HR queries and will play a crucial role in assisting with the overall departmental strategy.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday | 8.30am-5pm
Length of contract: 3-6 months initially
Working arrangements: Fully on-site
Key areas of responsibility:
- Work closely with management to deliver HR and People strategy for the organisation, ensuring objectives are met
- Support the on-site teams by providing HR guidance in line with legislation and internal policies and procedures
- Manage HR queries across the site, addressing any concerns with line management
- Support the recruitment and on-boarding process, issuing of contracts
- Manage HR systems, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements
- Identify process improvements and make suggestions to ensure effectiveness is maintained
- Support the Learning & Development function, training needs analysis across all disciplines
- Support executive, finance and payroll teams, ensuring administrative activities are completed in line with weekly timelines
- To provide regular support to the head of the HR Department, to include meeting preparation, collation of data for reporting activities and any ad hoc duties that may arise
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar HR Advisory/Consultancy role, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment
- CIPD qualified; third level HR qualification desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with staff at all levels
- Proficient in the use of HR systems and the MS Office suite
- Strong organisational skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills
