Job Type: Full-time / Part-time | Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday | No weekends or out-of-hours shifts

A well-established veterinary practice in Kilkenny is seeking an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to join its dedicated and compassionate team. This independent practice has been serving the local community for over 30 years, providing high-quality care to both companion and farm animals. The clinic is fully equipped with modern diagnostic tools, including in-house haematology, biochemistry, digital radiography, ultrasound, and dentistry facilities.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) looking for a leadership role in a busy and supportive environment. You will play a key role in supporting daily patient care and assisting with a variety of clinical tasks, including:

• Inpatient care and post-operative monitoring

• Surgical preparation and assistance

• Anaesthetic monitoring

• Processing laboratory samples

• Infection control and hygiene management

• Dental procedures and weight clinics

• Nurse consultations and client education

What We're Looking For:

• A qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) eligible to work in Ireland

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A proactive and adaptable approach to patient care

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• A commitment to maintaining high clinical standards
