Deputy Manager (Fixed Term, 1 Year)
Location: Lisburn
Contract Duration: June 2025 - June 2026 Potential to be made permanent
Salary: Starting from £35,412 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 37 hours per week, to include evenings, weekends, and public holidays
About the Service
We provide Supported Living service for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The service operates 24 hours a day within a purpose-built environment that promotes dignity, independence, and inclusion, in partnership with local statutory and housing bodies.
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. This is a key leadership role responsible for day-to-day operational oversight, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and development. The Deputy Manager will play a crucial role in upholding standards, ensuring the wellbeing of service users, and leading through example.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the assessment and transition of new service users
Oversee personalised care planning and risk management
Monitor service delivery to meet regulatory and contractual requirements
Manage incidents and contribute to investigations
Support staff to implement PBS and behaviour management strategies
Ensure financial processes align with internal policies and individual needs
Audit care practices, identify improvements, and report on outcomes
Contribute to budget planning and rota management
Deliver staff supervision, training, and performance reviews
Support with regulatory inspections and quality assurance activities
Essential Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate one of the following qualifications and relevant experience:
A professional qualification in Social Work, Nursing, or Allied Health (with registration to relevant body), and a minimum of 3 years' experience in health or social care (including at least 1 year in a management capacity)
ORLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Adults' Management - NI/Wales) and 4 years' experience (with 1 year in a management role)
Additional requirements:
Experience managing supported living services for people with learning disabilities
Working knowledge of PBS and behaviour support strategies
Excellent communication and IT skills
A full current driving licence and access to a vehicle (or ability to meet mobility needs by alternative means)
