Social Care Worker - Children's Residential Care

Location: On site, Boyle, Co. Roscommon

Job type: Temporary / Full-time

Currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Social Care Worker to join our client's team based in a children's residential unit in Boyle, Co. Roscommon.

The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care for children in residential care. Our client is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children who require a safe and supportive environment to grow and develop.

Please note you must be eligible to work in Ireland (Minimum Stamp 4). Sponsorship is not provided for this role.

Key duties:

• Providing direct care and support to children in residential care.
• Building strong relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders
• Creating a safe and nurturing environment for children
• Encouraging and supporting children to achieve their goals and aspirations
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on each child's progress
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of care plans
• Ensuring that all policies and procedures are always adhered to

Essential criteria:

• Relevant qualification in social care or equivalent.

(Social Care Level 7/8, Level 8 in Psychology Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Level 7 in Counselling Professional qualification in: Youth and Community Work Social Work Social Sciences Teaching; Nursing Addiction studies where appropriate)

• Experience working with children in residential care. (Preferential but not essential)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
