Job Title: Recruitment Consultant
Location: Lisburn
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (reasonable flexibility required)
Salary: £25,000 | OTE £35,000-£40,000

About Us
We're looking for a proactive and dedicated Recruitment Consultant to join our team in Lisburn. This role plays a pivotal part in developing and delivering comprehensive recruitment services, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and driving profitability.
Job Summary
You'll be responsible for understanding and matching the needs of both clients and candidates, delivering a quality, tailored recruitment service while consistently meeting targets.
Main Responsibilities
Sales Activity & Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities
- Achieve sales and gross profit targets in line with KPIs
- Conduct client visits-both new and existing-and follow up on business leads
- Support the creation of proposals and tenders; negotiate fees within company policy and approvals
- Proactively source candidates across relevant channels
Client Management
- Manage client relationships, identify their needs, and provide ongoing service feedback
- Oversee vacancy management and support with site coordination
- Gather and maintain detailed client information (e.g. headcount, structure, attrition)
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and promote services across divisions
- Accurately maintain recruitment system records
- Network internally and externally to support client engagement
- Provide benchmarking data (e.g. salary, candidate pool, market activity)
- Offer on-call support when needed
- Produce client reports and satisfaction surveys, presenting insights and recommendations
- Build a complete client profile through calls, visits, and networking (including org charts and strategic goals)
Candidate Management
- Talent pool and source candidates
- Pre-screen and register candidates in line with weekly KPIs
- Prepare candidates ahead of interviews
- Conduct skills testing and provide candidate insight on client culture, structure, and progression
- Deliver constructive feedback and interview results
- Negotiate offers, notice periods, and employment terms
- Advise on pay rates, training opportunities, and career progression
- Manage temp availability to meet client needs (where applicable)
- Submit speculative CVs, search and shortlist, and ensure candidate quality matches client expectations
- Provide clear, detailed job and client information to all candidates
Quality & Compliance
- Follow key processes and the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Maintain high standards across all written and verbal communication
- Complete candidate vetting: ID, NI checks, qualifications, bank details, reference checks, timesheet/payroll queries, and invoicing
- Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure effective use of the system
- Support the Branch Manager in recruitment, induction, coaching, and development; deputise when required
- Mentor branch and cross-branch staff, acting as a point of expertise
- Ensure personal PDP is managed and updated
- Keep records in line with all relevant legislation
- Perform any additional duties as required
Criteria
Essential:
- Minimum 1 year of recruitment consultancy experience (within the last 5 years), or
- 2 years of direct B2B sales experience (within the last 5 years) in a target-driven role involving client acquisition and retention
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Outlook
- 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C or equivalent), including English and Maths
