Cleansing Operative with Driving Duties

The Client: Local Government body in the Lisburn area serving local residents.

The Role:

As a member of the Operational Services Team the postholder will be required to:

• Provide of an effective and efficient refuse collection & street cleansing and Civic amenity service throughout the assigned catchment area
• If required to undertake the role and associated key duties of the post of driver, the post holder will also be responsible for the vehicle and its passengers in compliance with all Council policies, statutory regulations and Health and Safety requirements
• The post holder will assume other delegated duties appropriate to the post reasonably assigned by management

Hours of work: 37 hrs per week

Requirements:

Essential Criteria:

• 2 years' experience of driving a large vehicle eg 3.5-26 tonnes
• Previous employment experience of keeping official records
• Previous employment experience in Waste Collection/Street Cleansing or a relevant related field
• 1 year team leader experience in a similar role
• Hold a full current driving C licence (up to 26 tonnes)
• Hold a Driver CPC

Rate of Pay: £13.69 p/hr
