Location: Crossnacreevy
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £24,952 per annum

Sponsored by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), AFBI provides evidence-based research and monitoring that informs government policy and promotes sustainability in Northern Ireland and beyond.
Job Role
Working on the AFBI Crossnacreevy research farm which specializes in trials of wheat, barley oats and grasses.
Key Responsibilities
- Ploughing
- Spraying,
- Sowing
- Combining
- Use of Haldrups
- Fertiliser sowers
- Kubota lawn
Essential Criteria
- 2 GCSE's including English language and Maths (grades A*-C) or equivalent or higher
AND
- A minimum of 6 demonstrable months relevant experience in ploughing, spraying, sowing and combining
AND
- A Valid UK driving license.
Other Desirable Skills ·
- PA1 and PA2a are highly desirable
- Experience in operating a range of farm machinery.
- Experience in an agricultural setting with knowledge of crop (such as grass) husbandry. Willingness to learn new skills
- Show attention to detail and capable to adapt
