Role Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our expanding team. This role is pivotal to our growth strategy, focusing on developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Sales Delivery:

    • Develop and implement new business sales plans, pipelines, and forecasts to meet corporate objectives.
    • Identify new tender opportunities in ROI and assist with responses.
    • Identify new volume business opportunities for onsite/Key Account models by understanding competitor activities and market trends.
    • Conduct regular prospective and client visits, delivering high-quality, confident presentations and proposals.
    • Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports on sales volume, potential sales, and areas for client base expansion.
    • Assess and highlight associated commercial business risks.
    • Act as an effective ambassador for the business at networking events, conferences, and exhibitions.
  • General:

    • Perform other duties assigned by the Sales Director, including ad-hoc projects.
    • Develop positive and professional working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
    • Consistently work to the highest standards and take responsibility for personal development and performance levels.
    • Promote and deliver the Company's ethics and values.


  • Education: Leaving Certificate or equivalent. A Business or Marketing degree is desirable. Recruitment professional qualifications are an advantage.

  • Skills & Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of direct business development/sales experience.
    • B2B sales experience with proven success.
    • Demonstrable success in building and maintaining effective business relationships at a senior level.
    • Proven achievements in generating new business leads and exceeding targets.
    • Experience in creating a sales/employment pipeline within the recruitment or similar high volume/margin sensitive industry.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
    • Knowledge of sales strategies and recent employment and recruitment trends in ROI.
    • Commercial awareness of pricing strategies related to tender opportunities.
    • Knowledge of CRM systems is desirable.
  • Qualities & Disposition:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills.
    • Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly.
    • Self-starter, self-motivated, and good team player.
    • Enthusiastic, confident, and motivated to achieve targets.
    • Flexible to meet the needs of the business.
    • Displays company values of integrity, respect, commitment, creativity, teamwork, and reliability.
  • Circumstances:

    • Full clean driving licence is required.
