The Opportunity and Company

Our client, a family-owned business operating for over 40 years has a fantastic opportunity within their Finance team as an Accounts Administrator. The ideal candidate will have fantastic administration experience, a self-starter, and excellent attention to detail. Moreover, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of their role are completed accurately and within the timescales required. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in finance and to develop a rewarding career with a growing company!

Main Tasks

  • Processing purchase invoices for goods and services.
  • Managing and collating expense forms and credit card expenses.
  • Assisting with sales invoice and credit note processing.
  • Supporting month-end financial close procedures.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external partners.
  • Managing and collecting debts via phone or email, ensuring timely payments.
  • Performing additional finance-related tasks as required.

Criteria

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • At least 1 year of prior Administration experience, ideally within a financial environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven experience in MS Excel and other MS packages (Outlook & Word).
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) with Mathematics and English at Grade C or above.
  • Understanding of Basic Accounting Principles.
