Rate of Pay: £26.62 per hour

Hours of Work: 37hrs per week

The Client: Local Government body in the Lisburn area serving local residents.

The Role:

The post holder will be responsible for the efficient provision of a comprehensive range of asset and estate management services for all Council properties through the management and co-ordination of the Estate Management Service Section within the Assets Unit: and work in partnership across all Directorates to enable the Council to meet its strategic objectives and derive the best benefits from its assets.

The post holder will lead the effective planning, delivery and improvement of Estate and Asset Management in relation to property within the Council. In addition to developing and implementing initiatives that provide efficient and effective Asset Management improvements in accordance with Council policies, procedures and best value.

Essential Criteria:

• A third level qualification for example degree, NVQ level 4 (or equivalent) in Estate/Asset Management, Construction or equivalent
• A minimum of three years post qualification experience in a comprehensive asset management role working in an environment providing:
  • Acquisition, disposal, development and maximisation of investment from property assets
  • Energy and sustainability management
  • Asset maintenance and statutory property compliance
  • Procurement and contract management
  • Project planning and analysis
  • Supervision of staff
• Hold a full (ie not provisional) current UK driving licence and access to a car or *have access to a means of transport which would enable the applicant to carry out the duties of the post
• Working knowledge of CDM Regulations, Building Regulations, Health and Safety Regulations pertaining to the built environment, British Standards codes of practice and forms of contract relating to construction practices
• Working knowledge of energy and building management systems and practices

Where applicants do hot hold the qualifications as outlined above they must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years experience in a comprehensive asset management role
