RESEARCH FARMED ESTATES EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Location: Hillsborough

Hours: 37hrs per week may include overtime

Duration: temporary up 12 months

Pay: £15.83 per hour

The Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) delivers world-class science to support agriculture, the environment, and the wider economy. Sponsored by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), AFBI provides evidence-based research and monitoring that informs government policy and promotes sustainability in Northern Ireland and beyond.

Purpose of the Role:

To support the Farm Office and Head of Branch with all types of admin duties.

Essential Criteria:

• GCSEs at grades A* to C including Mathematics and English or equivalent or higher

AND

• A minimum of 1 years' experience in a fast paced administrative environment, providing administrative support to a variety of stakeholders
• Excellent IT skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook

Where applicants do not have the qualifications as shown in 1 above, they must demonstrate a minimum of 3 years' experience in 2 above

Desirable Criteria:

1. Knowledge of farming or a farming background
