Hours of Work: 37hrs per week

The Client: Local Government body in the Lisburn area serving local residents.

The Role:

The Porter is required to provide and maintain a quality customer service, ensuring that facilities are clean and well prepared, equipment is serviceable and properly handled and health and safety and hygiene standards are maintained throughout, in accordance with internal quality assurance system.

The post holder will assume other delegated duties relevant to the post as reasonably assigned by the Duty Officer/Facilities Manager including participation in the interchange of duties to cover annual leave, sickness absences, shifts, etc.

Essential Criteria:

• A minimum of one year's previous experience in a similar post with specific experience in at least four of the following areas:
  • Mail room
  • Erecting, dismantling, storing of equipment
  • Reception
  • Security
  • Cleaning
  • Maintenance work

Desirable Criteria:

• At least twoyears' experience in a similar post with specific experience in at least four of the following areas:
  • Mail room
  • Erecting, dismantling, storing of equipment
  • Reception
  • Security
  • Cleaning
  • Maintenance work
• A working knowledge of electronic mailing systems
