At Staffline Recruitment we are currently seeking to recruit a Patient Services Administrator to join a busy healthcare environment in South Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, detail-focused administrator who is interested in working within healthcare and playing an important role in ensuring patient records are accurate, accessible, secure and well maintained.
The successful candidate will work closely with clinical and administrative teams, supporting the day-to-day management of medical records while also contributing to wider patient administration, quality, compliance and the organisation's transition from paper-based to electronic medical records.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, organise and accurately file patient medical records and documentation.
- Track the movement and location of patient files using the appropriate recording systems.
- Deliver and collect patient files and paperwork to and from clinical teams.
- Prepare patient records and documentation for new hospital admissions.
- Liaise with clinical teams regarding new admissions and patient documentation.
- Maintain and accurately update the Hospital Patient Register.
- Organise the retrieval and collection of patient files stored offsite.
- Assist with the regular archiving of medical records.
- Complete document scanning and ensure records are accurately uploaded and maintained.
- Identify and report discrepancies, missing information or record-keeping issues.
- Support medical record audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Interested applicants will meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years administrative experience, ideally within a medical setting.
- A relevant 3rd level qualification is desirable.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- A good understanding of healthcare administration.
- Strong knowledge of ICT to include Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management, multidisciplinary staff, patients and the public.
This is a full time, permanent position that will pay a non-negotiable starting salary of €34,000.
