Salary: £26,449 - £28,094 per annum (AO Scale)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an HR Administration Officer to join the HR team within the Arts Council in Belfast on a temporary basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator looking to join a professional organisation and gain further experience within a busy HR environment.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide efficient and effective clerical and administrative support to the HR team and wider organisation, ensuring HR systems, records and processes are maintained accurately and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
As an HR Administration Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day HR administrative support to the HR team and wider organisation.
- Providing clerical support to the HR & Corporate Services Department, including recruitment administration.
- Monitoring and recording sickness absence and ensuring appropriate return-to-work documentation is completed.
- Completing data input and word processing.
- Maintaining effective manual and electronic filing systems, including archiving.
- Supporting the HR team with training and development administration.
- Collating and monitoring HR information using HR information systems, including PAMS.
- Assisting with the monitoring and recording of Fair Employment data.
- Ensuring probation reports are completed within the required timescales.
- Managing office supplies and ordering stock when required.
- Processing invoices, purchase orders and related documentation in line with financial procedures.
- Supporting the HR team with general administrative duties as required.
Essential Criteria
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- At least 1 year's experience in a similar HR administration role within a Human Resources function.
- 5 GCSEs at grades A-C, including English Language and Maths, or equivalent.
- Experience of administering effective HR processes.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, together with experience using an HR information/management system such as PAMS.
- Experience handling confidential information, with an understanding of data protection and information security.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while meeting deadlines.
- The ability to work independently using your own initiative, while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
