Technical Support Engineer - HVAC & Electrical Products

Are you technically minded, confident dealing with customers and comfortable turning complex product information into practical solutions? Staffline Recruitment is partnering with an established supplier of heating, ventilation and electrical products to recruit a Technical Support Engineer for its growing team.

This is a varied position combining technical product support, customer service, sales assistance and training. You will become a key point of contact for customers, installers, wholesalers and colleagues, helping them select the right products, resolve technical queries and confidently use the company's solutions.

The Role

Working closely with the Sales, Marketing, Quality and Product Development teams, your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a trusted technical contact for customers and colleagues who require guidance on the company's product range
• Helping customers diagnose product or installation issues and guiding them through the appropriate next steps.
• Preparing drawings, product information for customer projects and quotations
• Working alongside the commercial team to ensure proposed solutions are technically suitable
• Building product knowledge across the wider business through demonstrations, workshops and structured training sessions
• Producing resources such as presentations, reference guides, instructional materials and digital content
• Reviewing technical documents and product information to ensure they remain accurate and consistent
• Maintaining accurate records and assisting with quotations, customer orders and related coordination
• Keeping up to date with developments and best practice across the electrical, heating and ventilation sectors

About You

This opportunity may suit an electrical or engineering graduate, qualified tradesperson, technical sales professional or experienced product-support specialist looking to develop a long-term career within a technical commercial environment.

You should be:

• Technically curious, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Confident communicating with both technical and non-technical customers
• Customer focused, professional and comfortable providing support by telephone and email
• Able to explain technical products and concepts in a clear, practical manner
• Organised, accurate and capable of managing several enquiries or projects at once
• Commercially aware and comfortable supporting customer and sales requirements
• Keen to develop strong knowledge across a varied technical product range

Experience Required

• A qualification or practical background in electrical, mechanical, building services or a related discipline
• Experience supporting electrical, heating, ventilation, HVAC or construction-related products
• Previous experience in technical support, product support, applications engineering or technical sales
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Experience preparing drawings, specifications or technical documentation
• Experience delivering product demonstrations, presentations or training
• Familiarity with ERP systems, quotation preparation or order processing
• Experience within the construction, electrical wholesale or building-services sectors
