We are hiring on behalf of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council for Event Attendants to cover the Lammas Fair

• Events Attendants appointed must be available to attend an induction briefing prior to the event. The briefing will be held on Wednesday 5^th August 2026 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm in the Large Committee Room at Cloonavin, 66 Portstewart Road, Coleraine.

• Events Attendants should report for work to Sheskburn House, Mary Street, Ballycastle on Monday 24^th and Tuesday 25^th August 2026 where they will be allocated streets/areas for which they have responsibility.

Hours of Work

• Events Attendants will be provided with a shift pattern detailing the hours they are required to work on or before the induction briefing on Tuesday 5^th August 2026.
• Monday 24^th August 2026 shift pattern 1 (6.00 am to 2.00 pm)

shift pattern 2 (1.00 pm to 11.00 pm)

• Tuesday 25^th August 2026 shift pattern 1 (8.00 am to 3.00 pm)

shift pattern 2 (2.00 pm to 9.00 pm)

• Hours of work may increase or decrease in accordance with operational requirements.

Main Purpose of the role :

• The Events Attendants will assist in the placing and monitoring of traders along with liaison with Council's Licensing Team for potential issues. Responsibilities include assisting with the compliance of the Street Trading Act (NI) 2001 and the movement of traders from car park areas to pitches which will assist with the implementation of the Roads (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (NI) 2010.
