Artic Driver

Location: Athlone
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Rolling Shift Pattern (Early & Late Shifts)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Artic Driver to join their transport operations team in Athlone. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of oil products, ensuring all deliveries are completed in line with company procedures, health and safety standards, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely collect, transport, and deliver oil products according to scheduled routes and operational requirements.

  • Maintain regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on deliveries, schedules, and any potential delays.

  • Provide a high standard of customer service while representing the company in a professional manner.

  • Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure the assigned vehicle is maintained in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition.

  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, or property damage immediately to the relevant manager.

  • Follow all company policies, transport regulations, and health and safety procedures at all times.

  • Wear the required company uniform and personal protective equipment while carrying out duties.

  • Demonstrate flexibility by supporting additional hours when required to meet operational demands.

  • Assist with wider operational activities during busy periods, holiday cover, or as required.

  • Ensure all communication and handover procedures are followed when unavailable due to leave or absence.

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Artic Driving Licence is essential.

  • ADR Certification (HazChem Qualification) is required.

  • Previous experience transporting bulk liquids would be highly advantageous.

  • Strong understanding of driver compliance, safety procedures, and transport regulations.
