Environmental and Planning Coordinator

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PLANNING COORDINATOR

Our client, based in Dublin 7, is seeking an experienced Environmental and Planning Coordinator to support the delivery of statutory planning applications for a transport infrastructure project.

THE ROLE|

• Lead the planning and environmental consent process for a major infrastructure project, including statutory application preparation and key environmental assessments such as EIAR and Appropriate Assessment (AA) and Natura Impact Statement (NIS)
• Work closely with multidisciplinary consultants to ensure all deliverables meet legislative requirements.
• Manage engagement with key stakeholders, statutory bodies, and regulatory authorities.
• Oversee programme risk, reporting, governance, and quality assurance activities.

REQUIREMENTS|

• Degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Engineering, or related discipline (postgraduate desirable).
• 7+ years' experience delivering EIARs for major infrastructure projects, ideally linear transport schemes.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods to support environmental risk assessment and mitigation planning.
• Experience preparing and coordinating RO's or equivalent statutory applications in Ireland.
• Strong understanding of Irish and EU environmental and planning legislation.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including with statutory and regulatory bodies.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.
