About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveying Adviser (Chief Assistant Technical Services Officer) on behalf of a leading public healthcare organisation. This is a senior-level opportunity within the Capital & Estates function. The Senior Quantity Surveying Adviser key responsibility is to give expert and technical advice on the strategic planning, procurement, and delivery of major healthcare infrastructure projects.
You will play a key role in ensuring value for money, cost control, and successful delivery of capital projects across the healthcare estate.
Professional Chartered Quantity Surveyors with over seven years' experience working on international or national projects should apply to this big opportunity.
Reporting to: Principal Quantity Surveyor Advisor.

Key Responsibilities
You will support the delivery of capital projects and estates services, including:
- Providing expert advice on cost management, procurement, and commercial strategy
- Managing project budgets, cost reporting, and financial forecasting (Estimator/Cashflow Forecasting)
- Coordinating tender processes and contractor procurement
- Overseeing design team performance and contract compliance
- Monitoring project timelines, risks, and expenditure
- Supporting sustainability and energy-efficient project initiatives
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, design teams, and contractors
- Ensuring value for money across all stages of project delivery
Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:
- Level 8 degree (or higher) in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
- MUST have Membership (or eligibility for membership) of:
- Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI)
- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
AND
- Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in quantity surveying (consultancy or contractor environment)
