Staffline are recruiting on behalf of NHSCT for a Band 3 Information Assistant required on a temporary basis based in Ballymena.
Role: Band 3 Information Assistant
Rate of Pay: £12.75ph
Location: Ballymena
Hours: 37.5
Duration: End of October
Main duties/Responsibilities:
The post-holder will play a key role within the dept by supporting the team and inputting and maintain data on various systems. They will also assist in the processing, collation and presentation of information from the system/s and assist in monitoring data quality.
- Process a range of information and undertake data entry for information received in a timely manner.
- Assist with the extraction, collation and presentation of information to meet the needs of the Information Team.
- Ensure timely distribution of documentation/ information to professional staff regarding clinics, results and records within and outside of the trust
- Assist in the daily maintenance of the System
- Assist in the production of a range of routine and ad hoc reports using a range of software packages and take follow up action as appropriate
- Assist with the quality assurance of data on the System and follow up missing information and discrepancies as appropriate
- Assist in the liaison with appropriate health professionals on a range of matters
- Participate in training appropriate to the duties of the post
- Deal with incoming telephone calls and handle queries as appropriate to the post.
- Provide advice and support to system users
- Provide administrative support to the Information & Records Team including general administrative/secretarial duties such as processing mail, maintaining a filing system, arranging meetings and diary management
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post to ensure the needs of the Information and Records Department are met.
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSEs, including English Language and Mathematics (Grade A-C) or equivalent
OR
- GCSE English Language and Mathematics (Grade A-C) or equivalent
- PLUS 1 years' clerical / secretarial experience in an office environment
