Pay Rate / Salary: €36,383 - €54,746 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking a CORU registered Social Care Worker to join a residential service in Knocknacarra, Galway, supporting adult males with intellectual disabilities. The successful Social Care Worker will have experience working within disability services, particularly supporting individuals who present behaviours that challenge. This full-time Social Care Worker position involves 37 hours per week on a rota basis across 7 days, including a share of weekends, sleep-in shifts, and night duty.

Key duties:

• Provide residential and respite care support male adults with intellectual disabilities
• Work as part of a staff team to deliver support services
• Promote the wellbeing and support needs of people using the service
• Follow Ability West policies, procedures, guidelines, and Safety Statement

Essential criteria:

• Professional degree (minimum Level 7) in Applied Social Studies or relevant qualification
• CORU registration or currently in the registration process
• Previous experience collaborating with people with an intellectual disability or a similar field
• Full current driving licence with access to own vehicle
