We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Operations Manager to join a fast-paced and growing logistics and retail distribution environment in Galway. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a busy warehouse setting and enjoys driving operational excellence, team performance, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing daily warehouse operations across inbound, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch functions while ensuring high standards of safety, stock accuracy, and customer service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure productivity and service targets are achieved
  • Oversee goods-in, replenishment, order picking, packing, stock control, and dispatch activities
  • Coordinate workloads and staffing to meet operational demands in a fast-moving environment
  • Maintain high standards of warehouse organisation, housekeeping, and safety compliance
  • Support and develop warehouse teams through coaching, training, and performance management
  • Ensure stock accuracy through cycle counting, audits, and inventory control processes
  • Work closely with transport, customer service, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and continuous improvement
  • Ensure effective use of warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP) and reporting tools
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and safety

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a Warehouse Manager, Duty Manager, or Warehouse Operations leadership role
  • Strong people management and team leadership skills
  • Experience working within a retail, logistics, distribution, or fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Strong understanding of warehouse health & safety procedures and compliance requirements
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Forklift licence or MHE experience is an advantage but not essential
