Project Expeditor - Cork (6-Month Contract)

Location: Cork, Ireland
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Salary: €55,000 - €70,000 pro rata (depending on experience) + travel expenses

We are currently recruiting for a Project Expeditor to join a large-scale project team on a 6-month contract basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely manufacture and delivery of a major valve package for a high-value project. This role will involve close coordination with an international manufacturing partner based in Germany, including regular factory visits and ongoing production monitoring.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong supplier coordination, manufacturing, or project expediting experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering/project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor manufacturing and production progress for the project

• Travel to the manufacturing facility in Germany every 2-3 weeks to validate schedules and production status

• Review fabrication plans and actual manufacturing progress

• Identify delays, risks, or bottlenecks and support corrective actions

• Verify material and component availability

• Prepare detailed expediting reports following factory visits

• Track and manage project action items through to completion

• Act as a key liaison between the project team and the manufacturer

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Project Expeditor or similar supplier coordination role

• Previous experience carrying out factory visits and supplier expediting activities

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to identify production risks and proactively drive solutions

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to Germany

• Experience within engineering, manufacturing, valves, mechanical, or industrial projects is highly desirable
