Our client, one of the leading Gluten free bakery companies operating across the UK, Ireland, and Canada seek to hire a Head of Food Safety and Quality
About the Role
The Head of Food Safety and Quality will lead all food safety, quality, and compliance activities across manufacturing sites and co-manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive and promote a strong food safety culture across operations
* Manage and enhance the Quality Management System, including SOPs and process controls
* Oversee audits, record management, HACCP processes, and verification activities
* Monitor testing programmes, product specifications, and quality performance
* Collaborate with production, hygiene, and engineering teams to maintain standards and resolve issues
* Provide leadership to quality teams and contribute to senior management objectives
Essential Criteria
* Degree in Food Science, Science, or a related discipline
* Minimum 5 years' leadership experience in food manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems, and regulatory frameworks
* Experience managing customer interactions across technical and commercial teams
Desirable Criteria
* Experience with CIP (Cleaning in Place) systems
* Experience with BRCGS, customer audits, or regulatory inspections
* Background in bakery, food ingredients, or food processing
