SHIFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

A manufacturing company producing high-quality baked goods for markets for both domestic and international markets seek to hire a Shift Maintenance Technician to join their team.

Employment Type: Full-Time position | Shift-Based (Days & Nights)

• x4- 12 hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment
• Ensure efficient operation and utilisation of machinery, facilities, and systems
• Diagnose faults using structured troubleshooting and implement effective solutions
• Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, and external contractors to resolve technical issues
• Support installation, commissioning, and optimisation of new equipment and processes
• Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Promote a strong safety culture, including the use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
• Maintain awareness of food safety standards, including HACCP compliance

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an electrical or mechanical maintenance role within a fast-paced production environment
• Recognised apprenticeship or formal qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Safe Pass certification
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and rotation between day and night shifts
