Location: HED Cloughfern Avenue, Newtownabbey
Hourly Rate: £13.69
Hours: 37 per week (Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm)

Role Overview

NIHE Direct is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Handyperson to support within the West Belfast Response area. This is a hands-on role requiring versatility, physical fitness, and a strong commitment to maintaining housing standards.

Key Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of general maintenance and environmental improvement tasks, including:

• Grass cutting and grounds maintenance
• Power washing external areas
• Flagging and paving repairs
• Small concrete repairs
• Fencing installation and repairs
• Painting and general maintenance work
• Clearing and repairing gutters
• Clearing and unblocking drains
• General upkeep of residential properties

Requirements

• Full valid driving licence
• Basic Access NI clearance
• 1-5 years' relevant experience (desirable but not essential)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, practical, and physically fit
• Strong commitment to health and safety
