Location: HED Cloughfern Avenue, Newtownabbey
Hourly Rate: £13.69
Hours: 37 per week (Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm)
Role Overview
NIHE Direct is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Handyperson to support within the West Belfast Response area. This is a hands-on role requiring versatility, physical fitness, and a strong commitment to maintaining housing standards.
Key Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of general maintenance and environmental improvement tasks, including:
- Grass cutting and grounds maintenance
- Power washing external areas
- Flagging and paving repairs
- Small concrete repairs
- Fencing installation and repairs
- Painting and general maintenance work
- Clearing and repairing gutters
- Clearing and unblocking drains
- General upkeep of residential properties
Requirements
- Full valid driving licence
- Basic Access NI clearance
- 1-5 years' relevant experience (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, practical, and physically fit
- Strong commitment to health and safety
