NIHE Agency Opportunities - (Joiner, Electrician & Labourer)
Location: BELFAST

NIHE Direct is currently seeking experienced and reliable agency staff to support service delivery across our North and West Belfast Response teams. We have multiple temporary opportunities available for Joiners, Electricians, and General Labourers

Available Roles

Joiner B4

• Rate: £14.35 per hour
• Hours: 37 per week (8:00am - 4:00pm)

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 1 (Level 2 desirable)
• 1-5 years' experience
• Ability to carry out all types of joinery work independently
• CSR training
• Own standard joinery tools required
• Basic IT skills

Electrician B5

• Rate: £16.90 per hour
• Hours: 37 per week
  • Mon-Thurs: 08:30 - 16:30
  • Fri: 08:30 - 16:00

Requirements:

• Time-served electrician
• 18th Edition qualification
• Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
• Sparksafe registration
• 1-5 years' experience

Duties include:

• Domestic electrical repairs and testing
• Installation and servicing of fans
• Installation of smoke alarms
• Replacement of sockets, switches, and appliances
• Electrical testing in occupied and void properties

General Labourer B2

• Rate: £13.05 per hour
• Duration: 16 February 2026 - 16 May 2026
• Hours: 37 per week
  • Mon-Thurs: 08:30 - 16:30
  • Fri: 08:30 - 16:00

Duties include:

• Fencing installation and repairs
• Preparing and clearing properties
• Insulation fitting, painting, and power washing
• Identifying and sealing rodent access points
• Supporting trades (joiners, bricklayers, roofers, etc.)

Requirements:

• Physically fit and reliable
• Good work ethic and timekeeping
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience desirable but not essential

General Requirements (All Roles)

• Access NI Basic clearance
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
