Location: SPPG, Linenhall Street
Hours: Full-Time (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm)
Pay Rate: £24.45 per hour
JOB SUMMARY
The core objective of the Northern Ireland (NI) Stroke Network is to improve the quality of stroke services across the region. Working as part of a team, the post holder will support and co-ordinate a number of Sub-groups of the NI Stroke Network.
KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setting Direction
- Assist the NI Stroke Network Coordinator in gathering and analysing of a wide range of information to enable visions and strategies to be developed.
- Securing intelligence to manage the core functions of the NI Stroke Network including needs assessment, planning, priority setting and monitoring.
- Service Delivery
- Lead on the co-ordination of and scheduling of meetings and events to ensure effective engagement across all stakeholders.
- Development and Innovation
- Utilise knowledge of quality improvement science and organisational skills to enable appropriate support is given to subgroups to deliver service improvements.
- Research best practice and expert guidance in order to inform service improvements and developments.
- Collaborative Working/Key Working relationships
- Collaborate across the network both internally within the HSC and across multiple external agencies and sectors to deliver service improvement /development initiatives and innovation across stroke services in Northern Ireland.
- Leading on the promoting of the Patient & Public Involvement strategy agenda/ensuring appropriate engagement with partners, organisations and communities.
- Communication and Information Management
- Support the NI Stroke Network with the full range of administrative support including comprehensive record management of all core business documentation.
- Ensure that patients, clients and carers have a significant input into the needs assessment, service design, and monitoring and evaluation process.
- Produce reports as required ensuring accountability and governance responsibilities are met.
- Demonstrate a high level of communication skills including chairing of subgroup meetings, presentation, co-ordinate the development of annual reports and business cases.
- Provide written briefings as required.
- Demonstrate competence with multiple communication channels such as video conferencing teleconferencing and face to face meetings.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
A university degree or equivalent professional qualification AND At least 2 years project management experience OR A minimum of 5 years' project management experience |
Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the HSCB which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post. |
The following are ESSENTIAL criteria which will be measured during the interview/ selection stage:
- Demonstrate experience of developing, assessing, monitoring and reviewing service proposals
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), negotiation, interpersonal and team working skills with the ability to persuade and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Effective organisational skills to meet the needs of the post
Highly computer literate using Microsoft office packages, word, excel power point.
Knowledge of regional services and strategic planning.
