Electrical Contracts Manager | £55,000 - £60,000 | Belfast

Due to continued success and growing workload, our client, a leading electrical and mechanical contractor, is seeking to appoint an experienced Electrical Contracts manager at their site in Belfast.

Role:

Based at our client's Belfast office, you will regularly travel to site meetings to liaise with clients, site managers, and subcontractors. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest technical and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver multiple projects simultaneously within agreed scope, programme, and budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality for clients.
  • Prepare project initiation documentation, budgets, programmes, and all relevant health and safety documentation.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory standards and guidance.
  • Provide regular progress reports for management meetings.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams to manage progress, address challenges, and implement solutions.
  • Oversee contract administration, including issuing purchase orders, managing applications for payment, and controlling variations.

Requirements:

  • Ideally 3+ years as an Electrical Contracts Manager. Preference to N.Ireland experience.
  • Preference to candidates with Electrical based qualifications, NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • Strong background managing electrical projects for an M&E or electrical contractor
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
  • Understanding and knowledge of various electrical systems
  • Proven ability to lead and manage team
  • Commercially minded with a strong understanding of budgeting, cost control and financial analysis
  • Excellent written communication
  • Good IT skills especially with MS office software
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts
