Technical Support Manager
£23.37 per hour | 37 hours per week | Monday-Friday
We are seeking an experienced technical support manager to support housing development schemes, ensuring compliance, value for money, and high-quality delivery across all stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical appraisal of housing scheme proposals in line with the Housing Association Guide.
- Evaluate schemes for approval and delivery against agreed programmes.
- Assess technical content at key development stages to ensure compliance and value for money.
- Contribute to design standards, sustainability, energy conservation, and lifetime homes.
- Provide advice on standards, policies, and procedures.
- Apply design requirements for new build and related housing schemes.
- Supervise and manage technical and administrative staff.
- Support development of new technology, systems, and staff training.
- Analyse scheme data to inform technical policy and procedural improvements.
- Represent the team at meetings, committees, and stakeholder groups as required.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Degree (Level 6 or equivalent) and minimum 3 years' relevant experience, or
- Architect qualification and minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience, or
- Demonstrated equivalent CPD/experiential learning and at least 5 years' relevant experience
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of design standards and technical requirements for housing schemes.
- Ability to supervise staff and deliver projects to programme timelines.
- Current driving licence or access to suitable transport to fulfil the role.
