Metal Technology Ltd is one of the UK and Ireland's leading architectural aluminium systems companies. Specializing in innovative design and distribution of purpose designed window, door, and curtain walling systems.
We are currently seeking to recruit a Production Administrative Assistant to join our team at our Antrim facility. The successful candidate will work as part of our manufacturing team supporting production operations.
Job Summary
The Production Administration Assistant supports the Operations Manager and production team by providing administrative, coordination, and reporting support within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures smooth day-to-day production operations through accurate documentation, planning support, data management, and cross-departmental communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and production team.
- Prepare and maintain production schedules, priority reports, and documentation.
- Update and monitor production data, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate production paperwork including material requests, production orders, and stock records.
- Assist with consumable stock tracking
- Liaise with sales, warehouse, and technical teams.
- Maintain accurate filing systems (digital and hard copy) for production records.
- Support compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Assist with production planning.
- Communicate production updates to relevant departments.
- Manage general administrative duties such as email correspondence, data entry, and filing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous administrative experience, preferably within a manufacturing or production
environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work accurately with data and production reports.
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of health and safety in a production environment including COSHH regulations.
- Basic understanding of ISO9001 and ISO45001.
Desirable Attributes
- GCSE's or equivalent in Maths, and English.
- Experience with ERP.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes.
Working Conditions
This role is primarily office-based within a manufacturing facility and will require time spent on the production floor. Standard working hours apply, with flexibility required during peak production periods.
