Band 3 Administrator
Location: RQIA - James House
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week
* Pay Rate: £12.31 per hour
* Contract Type: 6 months initially
About the Role:
The Band 3 Administrator will provide high-quality administrative support across RQIA departments, ensuring efficient systems and processes are maintained. The role involves regular communication via email, telephone and face-to-face contact, managing office administration, preparing reports and documents, and supporting senior staff. The Band 3 Administrator will also act as the first point of contact for departmental enquiries, deliver a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders, and take minutes or action notes as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide routine administrative support to departments, ensuring effective systems and procedures.
* Assist with the administration and implementation of departmental systems.
* Gather, collate and process documents and information.
* Manage office administration to maintain a high standard of service.
* Act as the first point of contact for enquiries, providing advice where appropriate.
* Prepare reports, documents and proposals for senior staff.
* Deliver a high level of service to all stakeholders.
* Attend meetings to take notes, minutes and action points.
* Commit to personal development, teamwork and continuous improvement.
* Support statutory duties under relevant equality, disability and human rights legislation.
* Promote equality of opportunity through personal conduct.
* Comply with health and safety arrangements and maintain a safe working environment.
* Adhere to organisational policies, including Smoke Free, IT Security and attendance standards.

Essential Criteria:
* Five GCSEs including English Language and Maths (Grades A*-C) or equivalent qualifications, or a higher qualification; OR relevant experience.
* Evidence of experience using Microsoft Office or similar.
Desirable Criteria:
* Quick to learn and able to retain information.
* Takes ownership and sees tasks through.
* Willing to undertake further training.
* Strong organisational and planning skills.
