A Call to Tradespeople
If you've been thinking, "I can't keep doing this on the tools forever," this is your next step.
Job Title: Training Instructor - Construction Industry
Location: Kingscourt, Co. Cavan
Type: Full-Time
Time to Step Off Site - And Help Build the Next Generation
Have you spent years on the tools? Know what it's like to work outdoors in all conditions, solving real problems with your hands and your head? Looking for a new challenge where you can pass that hard-earned knowledge on - and finally get out of the wind and rain?
This is your chance to swap the building site for a warm, safe, and supportive training environment - and still stay connected to the trade you know and love.
We're looking for experienced tradespeople to join our Technical Academy as Training Instructors, helping to train and guide the next generation of construction workers. You'll be sharing your know-how, demonstrating best practices, and helping raise the standard across the industry - all while enjoying a stable, full-time role with no mud, no scaffolding, and no bad weather.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver hands-on, practical training sessions - teaching real skills to future tradespeople.
- Explain techniques and systems clearly, whether it's in a workshop or in a classroom.
- Keep tools and training areas safe, tidy, and ready to go.
- Support the creation of new training materials and help us keep everything up to date.
- Help us raise standards across the industry by showing others how it's really done.
- Stay involved in new product and system development with our technical team.
- Travel between training centres and events as needed (all indoors!).
What We're Looking For
You've likely worked in roles such as:
- Dry-wall
- Plasterer
- General Builder
- Site Supervisor
- Installer in insulation or fabric-first systems
You know your way around construction drawings, site setups, and working safely - and you take pride in doing the job right.
Must-Have Skills and Experience
- A solid background in the construction industry - particularly in internal systems like dry-wall, insulation, or similar.
- Comfortable using hand tools and explaining best practice in a practical, hands-on way.
- Great communication skills - you're good at explaining things clearly and confidently.
- Able to interpret technical drawings and explain them to others.
- Competent with basic IT (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint - nothing fancy).
- Willing to learn new systems, products, and regulations.
- Full clean driving licence.
Why Make the Move?
- No more freezing mornings or soaking wet afternoons.
- Stable working hours in a clean, safe, and professional environment.
- Help shape the future of the construction industry.
- Use your skills and experience to make a real impact.
- Stay connected to the trade without being on the tools every day.
A Call to Tradespeople
As we said, if you've been thinking, "I can't keep doing this on the tools forever," this is your next step.
You don't need a teaching background - just the years of knowledge, attitude, and desire to help others learn. We'll support you with everything else.
Ready to come in from the cold and make your next move count? Apply now.
