Support Worker
Location: Armagh (with potential to work at other sites as required)
Salary: £22,675 - £24,108 per annum
Hours: Rotational shift pattern (average 35 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and waking nights)
About the Role
Our client is seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide 24-hour support to individuals accessing services such as hostels, family units, and remote support facilities. You'll play a key role in helping service users achieve independence and overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess the needs and risks of service users, developing tailored support and risk management plans.
- Provide advice and support, promoting independence through personal development and skill-building.
- Liaise with external agencies to ensure effective coordination and maximise opportunities for service users.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality.
- Participate in the shift rota, including night and weekend work, to provide 24-hour support.
- Advocate on behalf of service users, assisting with appeals, tribunals, and access to healthcare or statutory services.
- Contribute to the maintenance and cleanliness of facilities, adhering to health and safety standards.

About You
Essential Criteria:
- Commitment to core values: non-judgemental, trustworthy, and dedicated to supporting individuals.
- IT skills (email, internet, and database usage).
- Willingness to register with relevant professional bodies and undergo background checks.
Desirable Criteria:
- Recent experience (paid or voluntary) supporting individuals with complex needs (e.g., homelessness prevention, substance misuse, mental health).
- Experience creating support plans and managing risk.
- A degree in Social Work or active enrolment in a relevant programme.
