Job description

My client a 4 star Restaurant/Bar based in Kinvara is seeking for a Sous Chef. This is a full-time, permanent position.

You will be working 5 days across 7 (weekend availability needed)

Responsibilities:

  • Set up the kitchen
  • Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
  • Inform staff about daily specials and status of food cooking
  • Check freshness of food
  • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
  • Assist the Head Chef with menu preparation daily
  • Produce a high quality food for customers
  • Maintain a positive and calm approach with coworkers

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • HACCP Training
  • Right to work in Ireland
  • Strong communication skills in English
