Job description

We are currently recruiting for our client- a global manufacturing company based in the Derry area for two permanent Pallet Release Inspectors.

One of these positions is for days only and the other is shifts made up of days and nights, any shifts will come with a shift allowance.

The Manufacturing & Pallet Release Inspector ensures that finished goods are pallet-released for shipment to customers in line with our clients Quality Policy: "Right First Time, Delivered On Time Every Time." This role contributes to continuous improvement efforts within Manufacturing, working toward World Class standards and quality performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to safe working practices, including appropriate use of PPE.
  • Acquire and comply with Health & Safety procedures, work instructions, and associated documentation.
  • Perform random in-process inspections across manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct First Piece approvals as required.
  • Execute Pallet Release processes.
  • Perform Q Up inspections when needed.
  • Escalate Quality Exceptions to the Shift Quality Lead (SQL).
  • Raise QN Alerts/Holds and label suspect products.
  • Retrieve "Ship to Party" information for sending Certificates of Conformance.
  • Retrieve and review coating results.
  • Perform particle testing in a clean room environment.
  • Measure Bulk Density (BD) at the end of batch samples.
  • Support traceability activities as required.
  • Manage product containment activities with support from SQL and Manufacturing.
  • Retrieve and replace retain samples as directed by Quality/Manufacturing/Process Engineering.
  • Undertake any other quality-related tasks as assigned by the Shift Quality Lead (SQL).

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Academic qualifications in Maths and English.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with production, quality, and hygiene systems.

  • Awareness of quality standards and principles.
  • Strong customer focus and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively with limited supervision.
  • Positive attitude and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and results orientation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
