Practice Nurse

Full time/perm post, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) and reporting to Practice Manager onsite.

Our client, a private healthcare provider based in Greystones, Co. Wicklow is looking to hire a suitable Practice Nurse to join their busy clinical practice based in Wicklow.

The role will ideally suit qualified nurses who have experience working in GP Practices and Surgeries and those who are up to date on their training in relation to cervical check screening and primary childhood vaccinations.

Key Duties:

• To provide high quality nursing care to patients in the GP practice.
• Providing Cervical Check Screening and Infant/Childhood Immunisations.
• Perform Adult vaccination, Venepuncture, Wound care management, ECG recording and 24hr ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
• Health promotion and education and triaging of patients.
• Collaborate with GPs and other members of the clinical team.

Essential Criteria:

• Must have a minimum 2 years' experience working as Practice Nurse.
• Must be fully registered with An Bord Altranais/NMBI and have an active PIN.
• Experience in Cervical Check Screening, Primary Childhood Immunisations and Chronic Disease Management are also essential for this role.
