Management Accountant

Our client a top ten accounting firm globally is currently recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join the team in Belfast - this role will play a key role within the Belfast team and will mainly be focused on leading the processing of monthly management accounting for a portfolio of top tier clients. The ideal candidate will be an experienced accountant, preferably from a practice environment but candidates from industry will be considered for the role - will play a key role in the transition and stabilisation of new clients through gaining a deep understanding of their business.

Main Tasks

• Completing month-end accounting procedures for a portfolio of clients and creating training materials to facilitate delegation to team members
• Reviewing work outputs to ensure accuracy and delivering high-quality service to all stakeholders
• Overseeing engagement budgets and establishing consistent budgetary targets
• Developing and implementing new end-to-end processes for client operations and defining the scope of work.
• Strong time management and organizational skills and adhering strictly to client reporting deadlines.
• Awareness of relevant financial targets and constraints and contributes to achieving these, keeping the relevant Outsourcing Manager informed of progress.

  Criteria

• Qualified accountant with 3/5 years of post-qualification experience and membership in a recognized accounting body.
• Exceptional at building relationships, adjusting communication style to fit the situation, and understanding client needs with flexibility.
• Possesses strong commercial insight, capable of setting budgets, fees, and billing schedules to ensure profitability.
• Highly proficient in creating plans for managing tasks, engagements, and teams to meet deadlines.
• ERP experience.
