My client a leading public sector organisation based in Belfast are currently seeking to recruit a Full-Time ICT Technician.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
Pay: £13.57 per hour
Main Responsibilities | |
Work across all the relevant systems as directed by the ICT Strategy |
|
Management of the ICT Helpdesk. This will include the monitoring of assigned incidents and work requests, ensuring that relevant protocols and procedures are adhered to and any incidents and work requests assigned to ICT Technicians and / or third parties are resolved and closed in a timely manner. |
|
Provide administrative support to the ICT Department including preparation of files for meetings, sorting mail, maintain staff annual leave records, process phone calls. |
|
Manage diary / electronic schedule including arranging appointments and meetings. |
|
Fulfil the administration role for contract management of mobile voice and data communications contract
|
|
Responsible for maintaining stock control and security of Mobile Devices e.g. tablets, ipads and smart phones |
|
Liaise with Senior Managers relating to the management and usage of the mobile voice and data contract. |
|
Collate accurate, timely and relevant information to ensure that contract monitoring requirements are met. |
|
Assist in developing and advancing the ability of the Trust to access and analyse data held on its systems for the continued improvement of service delivery. |
|
Work collaboratively with ICT Staff and System Users |
|
Ensure ICT Team leaders are notified of events which impact Service Delivery |
|
Promote the use of information and new technologies as a key contributor to reform and modernisation. |
|
Participate in user groups and team meetings. |
|
Plan, prioritise and delegate work appropriately. |
|
Represent the Department/Trust in collaborative working groups when required. |
|
Develop and maintain the ICT filing system. |
|
|
|
Arrange meetings for the ICT team including the booking of facilities and catering arrangements. |
|
Service ICT meetings including the provision of agendas and papers, taking minutes, preparing action lists and documentation processing. |
|
Participate in Trust wide quality initiatives that require ICT support. |
|
Prepare and distribute memoranda, letters, reports and presentations using Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project. |
|
Use Trust-wide and departmental computer technology in line with the Trust's ICT Strategy. |
|
Engage in personal and professional development to ensure that skills and knowledge remain up to date. |
|
Undertake any other duties as appropriate to the grade that may be assigned from time to time by senior officers. |

To ensure that statutory regulations and Trust policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times. |
|
To take part in staff development programmes and annual development reviews and/or undertake further training if and when required. |
|

|
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA | |
HND or recognised equivalent qualification and worked for at least 1 year in an ICT service orientated environment / organisation. OR Five GCSE's at Grade C or above, including Math's and English Language or equivalent educational qualifications plus a minimum of two years' experience working in an ICT service orientated environment / organisation. |

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a pressurised work environment. |
|
|
|
A working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel or equivalent.
