Our client is a market-leading food manufacturer, operating from one of Northern Ireland's most advanced production facilities. With a strong focus on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability, they are expanding rapidly and now seek an experienced Business Central Specialist to join their IT & Business Systems team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of ERP configuration and optimisation, helping to drive smoother processes across procurement, production, finance, and compliance.
The Role:
As Business Central Specialist, you will:
Configure, customise, and enhance Business Central across finance, purchasing, inventory, production, and quality control.
Optimise Accounts Payable automation using Continia Document Capture (or similar tools).
Maintain and improve integrations with warehouse, quality, and compliance systems.
Configure key manufacturing ERP features including batch traceability, lot management, and shelf-life control.
Deliver training, documentation, and change management support for end users.
Troubleshoot issues, maintain data integrity, and oversee routine updates.
Support finance operations (AP/AR, general ledger, and cost accounting).
Essential:
- 3+ year's hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV) in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing work flows (production orders, inventory management, quality control, compliance e.g. BRC/HACCP).
- Proven experience with Continia Document Capture or similar AP automation tools.
- Knowledge of finance processes (AP, purchase ledger, reconciliation).
- Experience with batch traceability, lot tracking, expiry/shelf-life functionality.
- Ability to customise and configure Business Central.
Desirable:
- Experience with EDI, warehouse scanning, or shop-floor data capture tools.
- Knowledge of food safety and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with SQL Server, APIs, and integration strategies.
- Previous ERP implementation/upgrade experience.
- Microsoft certification in Dynamics 365.
