Graduate Polymer/Chemical Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, has a vacancy for a Graduate Polymer/Chemical Engineer at their site in Co Cavan.

They are constantly evolving through technical innovation, and they are now at the forefront of providing pioneering, cost effective, construction solutions designed to meet the needs of any construction project.

The Role:

As the Polymer/Chemical Engineer, you will be required to carry out a variety of duties to include;

• Manage, monitor and maintain the various Management Systems to ensure compliance with Product Standards, customer requirements and third party accreditation's.
• Monitor and adjust processing equipment on the manufacturing line, produce accurate and reliable data, interpret results and maintain records in accordance with required procedures.
• Whilst conducting Research and Development, you will run trials with a view to developing new products to complement our existing product portfolio in accordance with ISO Standards
• Liaise with our purchasing department to ensure we purchase quality materials from external suppliers.
• Setting standards for quality, health and safety and environmental, carrying out internal audits, recommending changes, and liaising with the production team are also key aspects of this role.

Hours of work:

• Mon - Thurs 8am - 5.30pm, Fri 8am - 5pm
• 42hrs per week

Requirements:

The successful Polymer/Chemical Engineer, will possess the following

• 3^rd Level qualification in Polymer/Chemical Engineering
• Highly computer literate
• Effective planning and good organisational skills
• Previous manufacturing experience would be desirable
