Compliance Finance Manager

Our client, one of Northern Ireland's leading food manufacturers growing year on year, has a fantastic opportunity within their expanding finance team for a Compliance Finance Manager. This position will take responsibility for managing the finance function, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger, payroll, cash flow management and forecasting, and statutory compliance (PAYE, VAT, R&D Tax, etc.).
The ideal candidate will have prior experience within a manufacturing environment, especially FMCG. Moreover, the successful applicant will hold a professional accounting qualification with a recognised accounting body and have at least 5 year's experience in a busy finance department, including people management experience.

Main Tasks

• Financial Planning and Analysis - Creating budgets, forecasts, and financial models aligned with business goals.
• Business Partnering - Collaborating closely with department leaders to provide financial insights and support decisions that enhance business performance.
• Compliance and Governance - Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards, including tax obligations and internal controls.
• Financial Reporting - Producing accurate and timely financial statements.

Criteria

• Qualified chartered accountant with a recognised accounting body (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Five year's experience working in a fast-paced finance department.
• Strong background in financial accounting.
• Proven experience coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors to complete annual financial statements.
• Strong financial modelling skills, including pivot table use and data manipulation.
• Experience liaising with brokers on general and credit insurance policy management and claims.
• Experience in managing teams or a strong interest in developing management skills.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
